The Society was founded in 1947 as an association of scientific and research workers who are active in chemistry, applied chemistry and technology. It is part of the Engineering Institution of Macedonia and is a memeber of the European Chemical Society (EuChemS).
Within the Society there divisions: Terminology and nomenclature, Crystallography, Polymers and Education in Chemistry.
The financial sources of the Society are grants from the Ministry of Science and Education of Macedonia but mostly from faculties and universities from Macedonia, as well as some limited company donations.
On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committee of the 26th Congress of the Society of Chemists and Technologists of Macedonia (SCTM), it is our great pleasure to invite you to participate and contribute to this event. The 26th Congress of SCTM will be held in Hotel Metropol in Ohrid, Macedonia from 16th to 19th of September 2020.
Conferences are opportunities for exchange of ideas, scientific development of young scientists, establishing new collaborations and partnerships, visiting nice places and making new friends. Contributions from all areas of chemistry, chemical technology and related topics are welcomed. A number of plenary and invited lectures will be presented, as well as poster sessions. The lectures are planned to cover recent achievements in the mainstream fields of chemistry and chemical engineering in the following sections:
